After a long time gathering information of other characters, changes in the group, having to change with the group and a mental block, a new story is out. I hope you all enjoy it. So without further ado....here it is.
Prologue
Praetoria
Standing on top of a hospital, a voluptuous woman dressed in purple looks out to the sky. She smiles as if a burden has been lifted. “So simple. But then again the simplest answers are the most elusive.” She presses a button on her star shaped buckle. “Doctor Smiley, please join me on top of the hospital.”
She slowly walks to the access door still in thought, “In order for people to change their ways, they must see themselves when they hit rock bottom. It is only when they are at their lowest is when they can reach out for help.” She shakes her head, “ I have seen it so many times I guess I became blind to it. But there is undeniable evidence that the errors that human beings make in life can be self-corrected or even with help of caring people once they realize it’s their own lifestyle that brings them down to the lowest denominator. So in order to help them, I must show them the faults and mistakes. I must bring them out for them to see.”
A door opens as a doctor dressed in an open white lab coat and business suit walks to the woman. She smiles warmly, “Good doctor, I have found the answer. Prepare my favorite patient for travel.” The doctor smiles and bows, “Yes, Mother.”
Atlas Park
A hero dressed in bright colors stand proudly under the statue of Atlas. He watches the masses live their daily lives. He occasionally sees some new heroes and vigilantes attack the Hellions who attack various people. He would normal observe and choose someone to help his cause if it wasn’t for an occasional pebble sized metal object seems to find its way to hit him on the head. Every time he looks up, he sees nothing.
At the top of Atlas’ globe, a lone woman dressed in a black jacket, spandex tights and thigh high boots snickers as she once again was able to hide herself from the view of her tormented. “‘Harriet, don’t take any action’ he said.” She begins to separate the lead of a bullet from another casing. “But Goat, you saw him try to get a few of our guys.” Her crazed look changes with each view of a previous conversation.
She gains a stern look, “That’s not our concern. We pride ourselves on our honor”
She quickly changes to an innocent, pleading look, “Come on, just one shot”
She returns to a stern look, “You will not shoot him at any cost”
“OK Big G, I’m keeping my word. No shooting.” She activates her invisibility and drops another lead pellet on his head, “Didn’t hear anything about hitting him with bullets.” She snickers again as he looks up to see nothing. “Maybe if I hit him with something bigger, he will learn to use his head.” She looks into an inside pocket to pull out a grenade. Crazy Harriet looks down and studies her target, “Yeah, he can handle it. And I’m still not shooting him.” A low maniacal giggle starts as she pulls the pin. Just as she is about to throw the grenade, a loud blast is heard off in the distance.
“Ooooooh, new playmates!” Harriet smiles widely as she tosses the grenade over her shoulder. It explodes off to the side of the globe. As she hears her intended target screaming, she turns around to look down, “Sorry got distracted.” As she begins to run towards the source of her interest, she mumbles, “Next time, I’ll aim.” She activates her cloaking device, turns her invisible, and her flight pack. With a running leap, she takes to the air, “Here I come to wreck your day!”
She lands in the warehouse district to see an open portal with a voluptuous woman in purple walking out of it. “So let’s see who we have here.” She pulls out her binoculars and views her new interest. “We got a cougar with back problems in clothing she should not be wearing. Very tacky… ” She focuses the binoculars, “…wearing a buckle that looks like she is capable of committing hari-kari on herself. I should help her with that.” She sees two men carrying another person on a dolly, “…and we have a recreation of Hannibal Lecter intro scene. He looks like fun. Get rid of Huey and Dewey. Maybe with some beans and some fine chianti.” She walks up to the ledge to get a better view. “Cougar is removing the bonds off of Hannibal.” The man in the dolly is dressed in purple with a bandana for a head mask and sports a French mustache and goatee. “Wait a sec that looks like…….Malaise?” Harriet sees the cougar hands Malaise a potion.
“Oh that can’t be good.” Harriet pulls out her rifle and begins looking through the sight only to see him finish the concoction, “Damn he drank it.” She targets him and before she fires, she sees the woman hit him with a mental blast that seems to amplify his insanity. “Oh that’s not good at all.” An aura builds around him begins to expand. As it expands, the two orderlies begin to act wildly. As it expands, all people within the aura also begin to insanely thrash about, screaming and laughing. “This is majorly not good.”
Harriet shoulders her rifle and begins to retreat, “This is way too big for just me.” She sees the aura expand and grow rapidly. It encircle buildings, causing the inhabitants to start their own acts of insanity. Then she notices the aura is growing very rapidly.
Too rapidly. She spins and hits her flight pack, flying at full speed. She glances over her shoulder to see that the aura will overtake her. “Damn, I can’t get away.”
She hits her comm link, “Crazy Harriet to Hero Dawn. Major insanity is happening in Atlas. And when I mean insanity, it makes me look like Ben Stein on Prozac. Malaise is ramped up in power and affecting all, STAY OUT OF ATLAS!” As she runs the aura catches up and engulfs her. She feels the power affecting her mind. She barely has enough time to emit half of her last thought.
“OH SH…..”
Hero Dawn: Look Within begins....
