Member Guidelines

Hero Dawn members and captains adhere to the following rules and regulations:

1. Attendance

Hero Dawn has a predominate attendance rule that we all follow. If a player has not logged their Hero Dawn character in for a period of 15 days, the member will be sent an in-game e-mail announcing that they have been removed from the SG due to inactivity. This does not mean the member is being banned. It merely reflects that the captains are trying to “keep up appearances”.

Why do we care about keeping up appearances?

New members are often left wondering how they’re supposed to be in a fun and family type of gaming environment, with stable teaming capability, when the member list shows extended periods of inactivity. To alleviate this confusion, we have incorporated the attendance rule.

2. Real Life Situations

We understand that real life comes first and coupled with this knowledge are exceptions to the rules. If you give a captain advanced warning that you will be taking a leave from the game, (depending on the expected time frame), your character will not be kicked from the roster.

Should your game character be inactive longer than you originally estimated, and you wish to return to play the game, simply ask a captain to send you an invite back into the super group. You will be reinstated at the same ranking held before you took a leave. Once again, this is for the sake of keeping up appearances.

3. Family Oriented Mindset

Whether you’re using in-game chat, TeamSpeak, or Ventrilo… please try to keep the conversation content to a wholesome category.

Many of us who play this game are adults, but we also have very young adults and sometimes smaller children who play along side us, and they should not be subjected to rude or adult oriented material.

Additionally, we have some members that utilize our live speak capabilities, but route the audio conversation through their speakers, which allows the children at home to be exposed to our conversations as well. So please, keep it clean; your manners will be appreciated on multiple levels.

4. Super Group Mode

As with any growing environment, Hero Dawn’s base is always in a state of change, usually in a functionally growing direction. As such, we ask for your help in the collective efforts to make that possible by running in super group mode at all times. This should not be a hard request as your character will earn both influence and prestige as you strive to reach the higher levels in the game.

5. Conduct with Detrimental Impact to the SG

Any chat or conduct unbecoming to the super group, which results in any major change to the super group as a whole entity: (1) the loss of a coalition party; (2) the branding of Hero Dawn with an image of prejudice; (3) or leaving Hero Dawn with an overall negative reputation within the gaming community, shall result in an immediate request for the offending individual(s) to leave the super group.

Failure to adhere to these policies in the afore mentioned guidelines will result first in a warning, with the exception of section 5. Repeat offenses can, and/or will result in dismissal from Hero Dawn.
